Lose your bent-over putting stance. Stand taller and closer to the ball (photo above left). It’s hard to give longer putts the needed oomph when you’re in a crouched position.
For consistency on this shot you need a very level golf swing and the ball positioned just past the bottom of your swing arc. The key is to pick the ball with solid contact without disturbing the turf beneath it.
Let’s say you have 10 minutes to warm up before teeing off. How do you spend your time? Most players would sprint to the range to hit a few rushed drives.
